Professionally managed by Fox Ridge Retreats & HomeWatch Services, LLC, a licensed North Carolina real estate firm.
There is something transformative about driving up into the Blue Ridge Mountains, watching the outside temperature steadily drop as the elevation climbs past 3,900 feet. The rush of everyday life falls away, replaced by the scent of fresh evergreen, the quiet whispering of mountain hardwoods, and the cool, clean mountain air.
Perched high along a tranquil ridgeline in Seven Devils, High Country Twins represents a rare and highly sought-after mountain setup: two luxury sister properties—The Alpine Manor and Catch and Release Manor—sitting side-by-side. Created to serve as the ultimate haven for large groups in North Carolina’s High Country, this combined estate accommodates up to 20 guests. Whether you are coordinating a massive multi-generational family reunion, a dual-family ski week, a corporate executive retreat, or a milestone celebration, High Country Twins offers the perfect balance of togetherness and private sanctuary.
Here, you don’t just visit the mountains; you immerse yourself in them with zero compromises on space. From morning sunrises painting the dramatic crags of Grandfather Mountain to evenings spent bouncing between dual hot tubs, your ultimate group mountain story begins the moment you step through our doors.
The Best of Both Worlds: Togetherness Meets Privacy
The most exceptional aspect of booking High Country Twins is the luxury of proximity without the sacrifice of privacy.
By securing both manors simultaneously, your group gains access to two fully self-contained, 1,800 sq. ft. homes. You can spend your days together hiking trails, hitting the slopes, or playing tennis, and gather for massive shared meals on the decks. But when the day winds down, guests can retreat to their own dedicated manor, distinct living spaces, and separate bedrooms whenever they desire personal downtime.
Morning Light & Mountain Views: Starting Your Day
Mornings at High Country Twins are tailored to early risers and late sleepers alike, thanks to two fully equipped, open-concept kitchens.
Because every coffee lover has their own preferred brew style, both manors are equipped with dual setups:
Programmable drip brewers with thermal carafes ready to pour hot coffee for the whole crew before a big day of hiking.
Single-serve Keurig machines for a swift, individualized cup to take out to the deck right away.
Carry your freshly brewed mug out onto either of the expansive elevated decks. Pull up a chair, feel the crisp mountain breeze, and watch the valley mist slowly burn away, unveiling unobstructed sightlines of the ancient peaks across the horizon.
The Heart of the Homes: Gathering & Unwinding
Inside each home, soaring timber ceilings and wide-plank floors frame expansive living areas washed in natural sunlight.
The Ambient Indoor Fireplaces: Both manors feature effortless indoor fireplaces. With the flip of a switch, glowing warmth and ambient flames instantly fill the rooms. This dual-setup is perfect for large groups: adults can enjoy quiet conversation and local wine by the fire in one manor, while kids and teens host a movie night by the fire in the other.
Gourmet Mountain Dining: Both kitchens are fully stocked with sharp cutlery, cookware, bakeware, and ample dinnerware. Your group’s home chefs can seamlessly tag-team elaborate multi-course dinners or easily prepare massive family breakfasts without fighting for oven space.
Resort-Style Deck Living & The Spa Experience
When you rent High Country Twins, your outdoor relaxation amenities are doubled.
Two Multi-Jet Hydrotherapy Hot Tubs: Nestled privately on the decks beneath a canopy of mountain stars, two separate hot tubs are clean, pre-heated, and waiting for you year-round. No more waiting in line for a soak after carving turns through fresh powder—there is plenty of room for everyone to sink in and melt away fatigue.
Private Outdoor Infrared Sauna: Step into the cedar-lined infrared sauna cabin to experience penetrating, therapeutic heat. The infrared system gently heats the body from the core, promoting deep relaxation and circulation.
Dual 55" Outdoor Fire Tables: When the evening chill sets in, your group can split up or pull extra chairs around either of our substantial 55-inch outdoor gas fire tables. The broad stone perimeters offer plenty of room to rest hot cider or craft beers while the flickering flames keep everyone warm under the night sky.
The Entertainment & Game Lounges: Friendly Competition for All Ages
Head upstairs in either manor to discover dedicated entertainment lofts, where the fun continues well after the sun goes down. Having two game rooms means total entertainment flexibility.
The Ultimate Gaming Stations: Both lofts are equipped with modern gaming consoles and four controllers each. We keep high-capacity rechargeable batteries and organized charging docks on hand so the gaming marathons never stop.
Multi-Game Tables: Host an estate-wide tournament. Challenge each other to fast-paced air hockey, ping-pong, billiards, or cards.
Big-Screen Streaming: Settle into comfortable lounge seating in front of the 65-inch smart flat-screen TVs to stream movies or cheer on your favorite sports teams.
Outdoor Fun in Our Backyard: Black Bear Family Park
Just a short distance from the property is immediate access to Black Bear Family Park. This pristine, town-maintained amenity is an absolute paradise for active groups:
Tennis & Pickleball: Two tennis courts and four meticulously maintained pickleball courts.
Free Supplies: The Town of Seven Devils maintains an unlocked storage shed filled with rackets, paddles, and balls for guests to use free of charge.
Children's Playground & Pavilion: Parents can play a match while keeping an eye on the little ones at the adjacent playground, or gather the whole group for lunch at the shaded picnic tables.
Right Out Your Door: The Best of Seven Devils & The High Country
High Country Twins offers celebrated outdoor attractions just minutes from the driveway:
Hawksnest Snow Tubing & Zipline Park: The largest snow-tubing park on the East Coast with 30 groomed lanes. In warmer months, it transforms into a world-class zipline park.
Otter Falls Trail: A beloved scenic, 1.2-mile round-trip trail leading down to cascading mountain waters.
Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster (Banner Elk): Experience North Carolina’s first alpine roller coaster, featuring 3,160 feet of track with 360-degree loops.
Skiing & Snowboarding at Sugar and Beech: Drive 20 minutes to the expansive slopes of Sugar Mountain Resort, or head up to Beech Mountain Resort to experience Eastern America's highest slopes.
Grandfather Mountain: Towering across the valley, offering the famous Mile High Swinging Bridge and the rugged Profile Trail.
Practical Comforts & Mountain Peace of Mind
To ensure your massive group stay is effortless from start to finish, both properties provide:
Keyless Smart Lock Access: Arrive on your schedule with secure, personalized entry codes for each home.
High-Speed Wi-Fi: Fast, reliable fiber internet throughout both homes for remote work, photo uploads, or streaming.
Smart Multi-Zone Climate Control: Intuitive thermostats on each floor ensure custom comfort in every season.
Dual Washer & Dryer Suites: Full-size laundry setups in both manors allow the whole group to easily freshen up hiking apparel or ski gear.
Whether your group is hosting an estate-wide ping-pong tournament, soaking in dual hot tubs under the stars, hitting the nearby slopes, or simply enjoying the luxury of spreading out across two distinct luxury homes, High Country Twins is the ultimate setting for mountain memories that last. Make yourselves at home and enjoy the very best of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We look forward to hosting your entire crew!
