Welcome to The Alpine Manor: Your High-Altitude Sanctuary in Seven Devils

There is something transformative about driving up into the Blue Ridge Mountains, watching the outside temperature steadily drop as the elevation climbs past 3,900 feet. The rush of everyday life falls away, replaced by the scent of fresh evergreen, the quiet whispering of mountain hardwoods, and the cool, clean mountain air.
Perched high along a tranquil ridgeline in Seven Devils, Alpine Manor was created with a single purpose: to serve as your personal haven in North Carolina’s High Country. Whether you are gathering multiple generations of family for an unforgettable alpine retreat, escaping for a weekend of skiing and snow tubing with close friends, or looking for a restorative four-season getaway where you can truly unplug, every corner of this 1,800 sq. ft property has been designed around comfort, connection, and ease.
Here, you don’t just visit the mountains—you immerse yourself in them. From morning sunrises painting the dramatic crags of Grandfather Mountain in rich golden hues to quiet evenings spent stargazing around an outdoor fire or soothing sore muscles in an infrared sauna, your mountain story begins the moment you step through our doors.

A Rare High Country Opportunity: The Twin Manors
One of the most exceptional aspects of our location is that The Alpine Manor is one of the High Country’s only true twin properties.
Sitting directly alongside our home is its adjoining sister estate, Catch and Release Manor.
The Alpine Manor comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests.
Catch and Release Manor comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests.

Rent One or Both at the Same Time:
If you are planning an intimate getaway or a single-family retreat, booking The Alpine Manor gives you a fully private, self-contained luxury lodge experience.
However, if you are coordinating a large multi-generational family reunion, a dual-family mountain ski week, an executive retreat, or a milestone group celebration, you have the rare opportunity to rent both properties simultaneously. Booking both manors side-by-side provides upscale accommodations for up to 20 guests total. You can spend your days together on the trails, slopes, or courts, gather for shared meals, and still retreat to your own dedicated manor, private hot tub, and private living spaces whenever you desire personal downtime.

Morning Light & Mountain Views: Starting Your Day
Mornings at The Alpine Manor are something to savor. Step into our fully equipped, open-concept kitchen where early risers can get their morning caffeine ritual started without a hitch.
Because every coffee lover has their own preferred brew style, we have provided two dedicated coffee makers:
A programmable drip brewer with a thermal carafe ready to pour hot coffee for the entire household before a big day of hiking.
A single-serve Keurig machine for a swift, individualized cup to take out to the deck right away.
Carry your freshly brewed mug out through the sliding glass doors onto the expansive elevated deck. Pull up a chair, feel the crisp mountain breeze, and watch the valley mist slowly burn away, unveiling unobstructed sightlines of the ancient peaks across the horizon.

The Heart of the Home: Gathering & Unwinding
Inside, soaring timber ceilings and wide-plank floors frame an expansive living area washed in natural sunlight. Plentiful, plush seating invites you to kick off your boots and settle right in.
The Ambient Indoor Fireplace: Anchoring the main living space is an effortless indoor fireplace. With the flip of a switch, glowing warmth and ambient flames instantly fill the room, providing the quintessential backdrop for cozy conversations, reading, or sharing a bottle of local wine.
Gourmet Mountain Dining: The kitchen and dining area are fully stocked with sharp cutlery, cookware, bakeware, and ample dinnerware, giving your group’s home chef everything needed to whip up hearty breakfasts before hitting the trails or elaborate multi-course dinners after a day on the slopes. Pull up barstools around the island for casual appetizers, or gather everyone around the generous dining table.

Resort-Style Deck Living & The Spa Experience

The Multi-Jet Hydrotherapy Hot Tub: Nestled privately on the deck beneath a canopy of mountain stars, the hot tub is clean, pre-heated, and waiting for you year-round. After an afternoon hiking rugged switchbacks or carving turns through fresh powder, sink into the deep, swirling jets to melt away fatigue.
Private Outdoor Infrared Sauna: Step into the cedar-lined infrared sauna cabin to experience penetrating, therapeutic heat. Unlike traditional saunas that rely on heavy steam, the infrared system gently heats the body from the core, promoting deep relaxation, circulation, and rejuvenation.

The 55" Outdoor Fire Table: When the sun dips behind the western ridges and the evening chill sets in, gather the family around our substantial 55-inch outdoor gas fire table. Its broad stone perimeter offers plenty of room to rest mugs of hot cider or craft beers while the flickering flames keep everyone warm under the night skies.

The Entertainment & Game Lounge: Friendly Competition for All Ages

Head upstairs to the dedicated entertainment loft, where the fun continues well after the sun goes down:
The Ultimate Gaming Station: Equipped with a modern gaming console and a complete setup of four Xbox controllers, meaning four players can team up or battle head-to-head right out of the box.
Never Run Out of Power: To ensure gaming marathons are never cut short by a drained device, we keep a supply of 12 high-capacity rechargeable batteries with an organized charging dock on hand.
Multi-Game Table: Challenge each other to fast-paced air hockey, cards, ping-pong, or billiards—switching between games is quick and seamless.
Big-Screen Streaming: Settle into comfortable lounge seating in front of the 65-inch smart flat-screen TV to stream movies or cheer on your favorite sports teams together.

Outdoor Fun in Our Backyard: Black Bear Family Park
One of the best-kept secrets of staying in Seven Devils is our immediate access to Black Bear Family Park, located just a short distance from the property. This pristine, town-maintained amenity is an absolute paradise for sports enthusiasts and families:
Two Tennis Courts & Four Pickleball Courts: Meticulously maintained and surrounded by quiet mountain greenery.
Free Supplies & Equipment Provided: Inside the court area, the Town of Seven Devils maintains an unlocked storage shed filled with tennis and pickleball supplies. Guests are welcome to use this equipment free of charge; simply return everything neatly after play.
Children's Playground: Parents can play a match while keeping an eye on the little ones at the playground positioned right alongside the courts, complete with climbing structures, slides, and swings.
Shaded Pavilion Awning & Picnic Tables: Take a breather under the spacious pavilion awning, or enjoy an outdoor lunch under the trees.

Right Out Your Door: The Best of Seven Devils
Seven Devils offers celebrated outdoor attractions just minutes from the driveway:
Hawksnest Snow Tubing & Zipline Park: The largest snow-tubing park on the East Coast features 30 groomed tubing lanes stretching up to 1,000 feet with conveyor lifts and night tubing under LED lights. In warmer months, Hawksnest transforms into a world-class zipline park with 20 cables, including mega-zips soaring over 200 feet above the forest floor.
Otter Falls Trail: A beloved scenic, 1.2-mile round-trip trail leading through dense hardwood forests, across wooden footbridges, and down to an observation deck overlooking cascading mountain waters.
Exploring the High Country: Minutes from Everywhere
Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster (Banner Elk): Just minutes away, experience North Carolina’s first alpine roller coaster, featuring 3,160 feet of track with 360-degree loops where you control your speed up to 27 mph.
Banner Elk Winery & Villa: Unwind at the historic birthplace of High Country wine, sample local varietals, and relax beside stone fire pits overlooking the vineyards.
Grandfather Mountain & The Mile High Swinging Bridge: Towering across the valley, this iconic peak offers high-elevation suspension bridge crossings, native wildlife habitats, and the rugged Profile Trail.
Skiing & Snowboarding at Sugar and Beech: Drive 20 minutes to the expansive slopes and 1,200-foot vertical drop of Sugar Mountain Resort, or head 15–20 minutes up to Beech Mountain Resort to experience Eastern America's highest slopes and the mountaintop 5506' Skybar.
Chef-Driven Dining in Banner Elk: Enjoy downtown Banner Elk's culinary scene, ranging from rustic fine dining to casual wood-fired pizza, craft breweries, and upscale bistros.
